Wow! What a great trip down memory lane. Your story reminded me of something.

A long time ago,my wife, Patti & I, took a long long long long walk once upon a time in Las Vegas.

We started downtown from about the Golden Nugget and walked down the strip to what is now about Mandalay Bay. I think that was the absolute end of the strip back then.

I can see it but I can't remember the name of that final casino -or - first in town casino. Maybe The Hacienda?

We collected ashtrays from them all. Patti got so good at "collecting" them that I didn't even know when the specimen was already in her purse!

    And we weren't even smokers!

Boy, they were heavy and bulky in the suitcase.

But we had mementos from them all - maybe not winnings, but some great memories.

And now most of them - maybe all of them - are gone but not forgotten.

    Thanks for the memories.
