All of us at Anthem Opinions wish you happiness and a "full tummy" on this holiday that allows all of us to look at each other with kindness and thanks for the many things so many are not fortunate to have in this world.

As usual, we thought we'd put a "different take" on this holiday...

...through...
Music

Ever hear of a Thanksgiving song?

We hadn't either....but we think it's time all us did !

We gave the matter some thought and decided we need to have an OFFICIAL Thanksgiving song.

We came up with six nominees for this distinguished "official" Sun City Anthem.... Anthem Opinions....Thanksgiving...Anthem !

But...we need your help as to which one to choose.

So...we need your VOTE as to which one should be adopted...and a sentence or two as to why !

(write-ins are also welcome)

Are you ready?

Here are our 6 nominees:

1."Food Glorious Food"...From the musical "Oliver"
2."Counting My Blessings"...from the movie "White Christmas"
3. "Thanksgiving Song" by  Mary Chapin Carpenter
4. "We Gather Together"...by...Celtic Spirit
5. "Thankful"...by Josh Groban
6. "What a Wonderful World"..by Louis Armstrong

    1. From Linda Dawson...to...Anthem Opinions

      #6...What A Wonderful World...that's my vote !
  1. From Janet Marks...to...Anthem Opinions

I think “Counting My Blessings” should be the Thanksgiving theme song for Anthem Opinions.

We are so fortunate to live in a community such as this and blessed with our families and friends.

With all that’s happening in the world today, we should be thankful for what we have.
  2. From Janus Fanning...to...Anthem Opinions

    2. "Counting My Blessings"...from the movie "White Christmas"

Home of the Free, because of the Brave.
    1. From Leslie Hsu...to...Anthem Opinions

      I vote for #5. "Thankful"
      1. From Mary Lee Duley...to...Anthem Opinions

"What A a wonderful World" and "Food Glorious Food" have my votes, in that order.
        1. From Cary Chubin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL...to...Anthem Opinions

I'll go with "What a Wonderful World".

          How do you "explain" why?

          Is it Satchmo's delivery?

          Is it the lyric?

          Is it the MUSIC?

I don't know but I do know I ALWAYS pause and count my blessings after hearing it.
          1. From Mary Ann Wilcox...to...Anthem Opinions

My first choice is "Counting My Blessings", followed by a close second of "Food, Glorious Food"
        2. From Valerie Traum...to...Anthem Opinions

"Thanksgiving Song" by Mary Chapin Carpenter.

The song is about what Thanksgiving is all about.

Gather around the table and be thankful for what we have, family, friends, food to nourish our souls and a home to keep us secure.
          1. From Barbara Wollard of Barrington, IL...to...Anthem Opinions

First of all, they all made me cry as they are all wonderful.

#5 is the most powerful, hopeful, thankful song that gets you thinking and feeling.

            It gets my vote.
