You Can't Beat Fun at the Ballpark...the Board Ballpark !

Sun City Anthem Board
Chooses "Machine" Officers in Every Case
2 Directors Appalled...but Outvoted

An afternoon at the Board meeting was filled with a roaring crowd...
of 30 people to choose a new officer slate.

...and balloons filled the air as only one couple seemed to enjoy the moment...guess who?

They could be seen dancing in aisles....

...as they  watched the remaining 28 members of the audience expressing...

...at the following choices:

President
Rex Weddle
Vice President
Aletta Waterhouse
Treasurer
Tom Nissen
Secretary
Bella Meese

Names familiar on this list ??

Primarily "same old...same old". The Sun City Anthem version of ...

Was there any clapping amongst that sparse crowd of 30...compared to the 7,144 homes that could have attended?

NOT A PEEP !

Result ?  This might have been the largest audience they will ever attract...the morale was SO LOW.

So get ready folks, this is going to be an expensive ride !

We do have some kudos to report...namely, Directors Jim Mayfield and Carl Weinstein making every attempt to block certain individuals as a result of their questioning the past ethics of Mr. Weddle and Mr. Nissen.

In another light...a darker one...

We also wish to congratulate Ron Johnson of Today's Anthem View, and Rana Goodman & Marcia Kosterka of Anthem Today ...

...for their excellent analysis and endorsing the candidacy of Aletta  Waterhouse, who was the deciding vote to elect Weddle as the association president.

Of course it was pure coincidence that Waterhouse would subsequently be elected vice president of Sun City Anthem.

And to those "wise" blogsters who criticized our choices...and our conclusions about Mrs. Waterhouse  falling right in step with "the machine"...

Anthem Opinions might have "called it right" after all.

Director Carl Weinstein aptly put it at the conclusion of the meeting...

"Looks like we'll have one more year of the same".

Yes we will....

...thanks to Johnson's, Goodman's, & Kosterka's inability to see the "Forrest" through the trees.

At the board meeting yesterday Carl Weinstein stated the past board was the worst SCA has ever had. Secrecy, exclusion or board members from decisions, etc.

Now we have a new board and new officers.

This 2016-2017 board may beat that record and become the new worst board ever.

We will be lucky if the dues remain the same for another year...and, since we're in Vegas, who wants to bet that the residents that yell, scream, and whine the loudest when the dues go up are basically the same bunch that either didn't bother to vote OR voted for the current cabal?

To those individuals a message: you had the opportunity to vote for three candidates who truly want to save what was left of our community -

      YOU BLEW IT

My my, it appears I must have ruffled a few feathers over on the Anthem Today forum.

Between Ms. Goodman, Bronx Annie (who can't use a real name), Patsy McCarthy, and of course, a man named Mark Cook, obviously the truth must have hit them a bit harder than imaginable.

We won't go into details about Patsy McCarthy or Mark Cook or Bronx Annie other than a few notes.

Bronx...don't know who you are, but before you "raise the flag" in support for a publication, perhaps Ms. Goodman should show you some of the emails.

In addition, if you believe a publication should be justified to call someone nasty names, that too, might say something about you as well.

We defy any one person to find Anthem Opinions involved in name calling and insults...despite the many that have been hurled at us.

Strange that Patsy would jump in when both my wife and I tried to save an Entertainment Club though hours of work, obtaining entertainment for it, and then realizing that those who ran it were literally impossible to deal with for various reasons, and after 3 months of total frustration, we left.

One will never forget the first meeting we attended when zero people showed up. Isn't that ironic? A club goes from 400 when a "woman hater" runs it, then can't even get one person to attend a meeting thereafter !

And we won't go into details about the president being told that a performer would work at a discount rate as a FAVOR to me, that he subsequently told the Entertainment Club president she should take a hike as a result of her rude and pompous attitude.

That seems to have been omitted.

Mr. Cook...you sir, need to slow down. The last time we had an encounter was a LIE you mentioned on Ms. Goodman's publication that almost got you in court...a comment that was pure hate, and subsequently removed, as a result. Can you remember your emails to me afterward apologizing? I have them for an attorney, next time you start up again.

This guy questioned my patriotism a few times...and for some reason, never seemed to acknowledge that I WROTE THREE SHOWS for VETERANS...without compensation...obtained entertainment, and eventually had attendance of close to 3,000 people over the three events.

For that matter, Ms. Goodman seems to have forgotten I did that along with a radio show for HER SIGNIFICANT OTHER as well...and when I resigned, never even got a telephone call of thanks for the two years...

...nor did my wife who edited his newspaper for the same time frame.

    Class ! Don't ya think !!!!
  3. Part Two of Two

Ms. Goodman claims that I sent "vicious" emails to her.

Well now, I went through my mail and those "vicious" emails and they consisted of first questioning her trying to get a woman rehired who was fired by FSR and not retained by our new manager.

I reminded Ms. Goodman that this lady previously had gone by the fictitious name of "Sandy Ridge" on another blog, who had a DOCUMENTED history...which I forwarded to Ms. Goodman...of some of the most slanderous and disgusting comments ever made toward HER or any others. Obviously her memory seemed to slip and she never returned that INFORMATIVE email which was obviously termed in her mind as "vicious".

Then another private email was sent to her informing her of information she was not aware of regarding a certain board candidate in which she published an article on May 1st with some information, using words in quotation marks that were never spoken, and taken totally out of context...something that was NEVER stated by Anthem Opinions.

Included in my email to her was a reference to asking why she found no objection to HER publication referring to another candidate as a "woman hater" or particular references from another blog that referred to me as being "demented" amongst other things.

Somehow that never was answered either.

Finally, the third email pertained to sending her a note stating that her words where incorrect, that they were utilized by another blogger for purposes of HARASSMENT, and that if any further such comments were made, that were considered in that vein, that a FORMAL COMPLAINT would be filed. There was no threat. I was asking her to not allow that to happen.

Now...to that lady, somehow the word "vicious" only pertains to certain people, yet the comments on her publication referring to a candidate as a "woman hater" or similar comments by another blogger about this publication seem to be acceptable.

Finally, no matter what was said, one can't deny that Aletta Waterhouse, her endorsed candidate...that we referred to an individual whose experience was that of a BUREAUCRAT without relevant experience by this publication, was the deciding vote in an election that made an individual president of the association whose past was indicative of secret meetings, wasted funds, and questionable election practices.

We tried to say that "birds of a feather, flock together"...

...and that left little question once she voted for Mr. Weddle, despite his DOCUMENTED wasteful expenditures and behavior.

But the clincher as to our belief?

Mrs. Waterhouse was elected the vice president.

So...it is not our fault that "we told ya so, Ms. Goodman".

Perhaps you might admit WE WERE RIGHT, and admit you were "had", rather than look for excuses and refer to someone WHO CALLED IT LIKE IT WAS...as a "tough guy".

Even two board members were quite expressive about the past year and how we could look forward to the same thing again in 2016.

And for the record, I't rather be TOUGH and RIGHT, than NAIVE and WRONG.
