Pet Park....Not Again ?

They Can't Understand the Word "No" Can They?

As if any plausible support in this community exists for a Pet Park, it appears that the Pet Park chairman (I won't embarrass him by using his name), somehow doesn't comprehend that the GREATEST PERCENTAGE of Sun City Anthem residents, DO NOT WANT THIS in any way....and they certainly don't want to PAY FOR IT.

Apparently a 6 minute drive of less than 3 miles to a FREE Pet Park in Anthem Highlands will not convince this man of his belief that "our pets need a place where they won't be forced to mingle with pets of other communities".

...and we haven't even mentioned the previous UPROAR of those who live near the Liberty Center when this RIDICULOUS idea was previously opposed.

Mr.Chairman...we all love animals...but we believe it is time you looked at Rover and said to him....YOU'RE  A DOG, NOT A PERSON .

And unless Rover is named on the house title, and is a dues paying member of this community, those who DO PAY, wish you would....

...ask Rover to consider associating with what he perceives as the "lesser members of dog society"....6 minutes and 2.6 miles away.

We received a copy of this memo he recently sent to all Pet Park members on June 23, 2013.

Here it is:

A MEMO TO ALL PET CLUB MEMBERS

I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND ALL THAT OUR PERSISTENCE WITH REGARD TO OUR QUEST FOR THE PET PARK REMAINS VERY MUCH IN THE HANDS OF OUR MEMBERS. ULTIMATELY, IT WILL BE THE PRO-ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF OUR CLUB MEMBERS THAT WILL DICTATE SUCCESS OR FAILURE WITH REGARD TO THIS ISSUE.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN BECOMING AN ACTIVE CORE TEAM MEMBER OF OUR COMMITTEE.  WE NEED THE COMMITMENT OF A STRONG TEAM TO CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD AND NEED TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE THE NUMBERS WHO WILL COMMIT TO MAKING THE PARK HAPPEN.

MANY OF YOU HAVE HEARD THE CHATTER THAT THERE WILL BE A PROPOSED MINIATURE GOLF PROPOSAL COMPETING WITH OUR LOCATION. WHILE I THINK THIS WOULD BE A PLUS FOR THE COMMUNITY, I ALSO THINK, IN VIEW OF THE PROMISES THAT WERE MADE TO OWNERS FOR A PARK, THAT THE ASSOCIATION MAY HAVE A LEGAL, OR  AT THE LEAST, A MORAL OBLIGATION TO OUR PET OWNERS TO PROVIDE THIS SPACE WHICH SHOULD BE RIGHTFULLY OURS FOR OUR PETS. 

A COMPROMISE SUGGESTION FOR THE GOLF IDEA WOULD BE TO BUILD IT AT INDEPENDENCE CENTER WHERE THE SPACE THAT WE WANTED FOR THE PET PARK THAT WAS TURNED DOWN, COULD BE UTILIZED FOR THE MINI -GOLF . THEREFORE, GIVING US THE BOCCIE COURT LOCATION WHICH WOULD BE A LEVEL SURFACED AREA FOR OUR PET PARK AT LIBERTY CENTER.  

SO NOW THE DECISION IS YOURS !

...and Mr. Chairman, PLEASE share the names of those who will join your crusade in order that WE MIGHT ask them a few questions, as to why THEY NEED A PRIVATE PARK since it has been REJECTED again....and again...

...and why a 6 minute 2.6 mile drive, is SO inconvenient ?

It's time to finally and FULLY close this book.
