Your Restaurant Idea Makes No Sense
Beginning Monday and concluding on Wednesday, we will look closely at the many aspects of the issue that we and many others believe, must be carefully examined and fully confirmed prior to a Sun City Anthem Board considering any such projects.
There is much more to the story than "I want a restaurant", and residents must be aware of all relevant information prior to responding to any survey currently being distributed at restaurant meetings.
Rest assured, we, unlike other official and unofficial community publications, will provide information to you that all to often is purposely withheld.
We believe the only manner in which a decision should be made, is full knowledge of the issue, not a partial explanation that omits many details that all to often does not include pitfalls.
We will not hold back any punches in our belief that any restaurant, especially one in which the owners of the community both finance and assume the many legal responsibilities, believe that such action may cause not just financial losses, but substantial future liability issues as well, many of which the average individual are unfamiliar.
We have spent a great deal of time in developing this three part report in seeking out numerous individuals having expertise with legal, tax accounting, self-employment, financial planning, and restaurant experience.
It was based on these individuals reports that, in addition to the above "voices of experience", virtually all we personally spoke with, residents considered the "silent majority" of the Sun City Anthem community, believed this restaurant option NOT to be in the best interests of the association, NOT appropriate for a retirement community, and represent a danger to the financial security of its membership.
Accordingly, we urge all owners to read the three part series of articles prior to completion of any survey...
...for your sake, and for that of the entire community.

ReplyDeleteThis restaurant proposal is INSANE! With the new influx of new restaurants in our neighborhoods due to growth we do not need another burden to deal with. As anyone with half a brain reads the proposal from what has been given to us it becomes clear that it will fail again, and for the fifth time. The answer is obvious, anyone interested in having a restaurant here in our location reach in their pocket, and take private money to create a private business, an arms length transaction, and prove us right or wrong. I believe wrong will happen. Dave, along with a "triple net" agreement to operate your folly will go a long way to make you INSANE sheeple divest your desires for your restaurant.
A definition of INSANITY: Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting the outcome to be different.
