Two years ago I painted my exterior fence (with the approved color, of course) and used Sherwin-Williams exterior Latex - I was hesitant to use Latex because I was worried about fading, durability, etc. Surprisingly, after over two years the paint job looks like new.....of course I sanded/primed any rust spots first and thoroughly washed down the fence before the paint was applied......it has withstood the test of time equal to (or better than) the paint SCA contractors used on their portion
