A Disturbed Individual & His Legacy...A Sad Tale of Corruption, Incompetence, and Unnatural Need to Destroy
A Tale of a Frustrated Old Man & His Need
to Destroy a Shire
One
upon a time there was a little man who believed he controlled his
little world. He did everything in his power to make people
believe he was important, but sadly, the only one who did, was him...
...and perhaps a few others who, like himself, had illusions of grandeur to achieve the acceptance of those who had always likely been laughed at in their past as well.
He was forced to leave his eastern country because of the corruption his past had rendered helpless individuals who had mistakenly trusted him, hoping a new shire would allow him another opportunity to deceive individuals who were unaware of his sordid past.
As the years rolled by, he and his like minded followers tried desperately to obtain fame in the shire, hoping none would learn of their sad and frustrated past...
...and...for a time, he and they, accomplished that goal, silently causing great harm to a naïve aging unsuspecting population.
They would stop at nothing to achieve their fifteen minutes of fame. It was all they had...it was their last attempt at achieving something they had never accomplished...
...and they knew no depth to obtain the recognition that had escaped them.
Each time others in the shire would question their motives, the only manner in which these weak hobbits would hope to fend off such criticism from those who would expose them for the frauds they were, would be to lie, cheat, and worst of all, destroy their characters.
They had no other weapons, because insecurity had always been a part of their lives, and the word "truth" had always escaped their existence.
They had no conscience of knowing right from wrong, and because of this curse they possessed, all that mattered was the shallow victory of deception.
But alas, it was not their fault, because they refused to recognize the mental illness and rage that existed in the leader they believed would lead them to the promised land....
...and the weakness of the minds who followed him, did so with silent belief that such treachery would bring them prestige in a society that, prior to the time they arrived in the shire, looked at them as outcasts, having few friends other than those who possessed similar unnatural traits.
But as the saying goes, "what goes around, comes around" and one day the little man and his fellow corrupt hobbits were exposed; they lost favor of those who formerly believed they were friends of those in the shire, finally coming to the conclusion that they were merely pawns on their chess board to control as they so desired.
Yes, we have such an individual in our midst trying desperately to regain the control he believed he once had, but he realized that his plight was so severe that he would proceed with one last effort to convince those in the little kingdom of his worth that now were convinced of his sinister ways.
But how?
His could no longer do it by himself and his dwindling followers; he was beaten, but in that self-realization, he believed that he had but one last manner to regain his lost world...
If he was to be destroyed, he must destroy the community itself, and divide those unsuspecting residents of the shire along lines that had never before existed, a characteristic common in despots realizing their plight.
And the shire came to a fork in the road.
Should it be destroyed or should it be rebuilt with the optimism it once had?
That...is to be determined.

A New "Information Page" for You...to have Fun !
Something New at Anthem Opinions
In these troubled and controversial times, 2020 has to be viewed as one of the most difficult times of our lives.
Keeping a "stiff upper lip" has been a challenge, and Anthem Opinions has made a number of attempts to keep your spirits high with ideas to enjoy while the Covid-19 pandemic creeps along.
We began with searching the many options available to you other than sitting in the house, watching TV, and "vegging" while Strip and local entertainment closed, casinos and restaurants shut down, and even "protested" (in fun) with a number of men, myself included, deciding we wouldn't shave until the world would open again to us.
Our "What to Do Today" posts in our "Entertainment Bargains" Information Page were a tremendous success helping people examine the town we live in, experiencing the "hidden" facets of the Las Vegas valley so many never knew existed.
During that time, there was and continues to be, an element in our community who decided the ugly word "racism" should appear; and over the past few months, more and more letters have appeared in the community in which certain individual's reputations have been severely criticized...
...for no reason other than to create hostility in a community that, prior to that time, never existed.
To those individuals who wish to continue that ugly quest again and again, why they cannot realize that all that will be accomplished is alienation, is baffling; and in our opinion, serves no positive purpose.
Individuals who have served not only the Sun City Anthem community, but have years of providing assistance to others in so many other ways, have been injured for no reason.
...and...
...because it's so untrue !
Rana Goodman...a perfect example.
Why has her kindness suddenly been forgotten? She and the Vegas Voice...at their own expense...literally single handily changed the Nevada Guardianship laws in order that predators would cease robbing senior citizens of their dignity and financial futures.
Forrest Fetherolf...
...who has been of vital assistance to so many in our community for his unselfish dedication to countless numbers of individuals, in addition to authoring the best in home improvement advice.
I can't think of a single person that Forrest Fetherolf has ever not assisted !
What about Charlie Wong?
Even
this Club founder has now received the harshest of criticism.
Charlie's kindness, his smiling personality, and love for people of all races, has allowed our Asian community to prosper and enjoy their lives as a result of his being an original founder of the International Culture Connections Club.
And then there is myself, who has published this blog for eight years offering so many options to those in our community that most were unaware of to enjoy their retirement years.
Entertainment, Household Tips, Home Improvement, Dining ideas, Safety Advice, History, Gardening, Sports, Nevada Know How, and Local News affecting us !
How many in our community would have been aware of years of mismanaged funds, the back door HOA deals and incompetence of past directors, a C.E.O. contract provisions that were ILLEGALLY not disclosed?
Remember this Darcy Spears report in 2018?
Ask yourself, what other publication has provided you such information, or how many of you would have taken the time and dedication from their senior lives to show such caring for their community ???

What other individuals have provided such DAILY community service then Rana Goodman, Forrest Fetherolf or Charlie Wong ?
...OR...
How many of you would continue to do so while suffering such constant criticism and verbal abuse by those whose accomplishments have been dwarfed by these unselfish actions ???
Well, no matter what or how destructive an element of our community attempts to portray, our accomplishments speak for themselves.
...and if any of you look to others for criticism of us, we suggest you look at those who do the criticizing and ask them, what they have done to make Sun City Anthem residents lives more enjoyable and stress free?
Anthem Opinions will continue that objective, and with that in mind, we are adding another information page to bring a smile to your faces that we hope you will enjoy.
We're calling it ...

To me it can only be one person that I call "the pariah." So much has been commented in past times and none of it has come to fruition. What did we as a senior society do to deserve him? And what makes him worse is that we see the idiots that think he is "OK."
