  1. From Forrest Fetherolf...to...Anthem Opinions

I commend Marty Winger for his very informative article regarding the SORO Project west of Henderson Airport.

Marty did his research before forming a uneducated opinion as others continue to do.

If Bella Meese and those following her misguided rational would read opposing arguments, they would soon realize what is real and what is fictitious.

I am a pilot and have a plane parked at HND airport.

The airport was designed to accommodate concerns for nearby residents and aircraft safety. The traffic pattern for approaching and departing aircraft is strictly enforced by the air traffic controller. All pilots are made aware of the rules through flight planning and air traffic control instructions.

The construction near the airport, whether commercial or residential, will have no impact on Seven Hills or Sun City Anthem.

The traffic patterns for both runways are a standard design and the FAA will not deviate from their policy risking aircraft safety.

Look at the airport design, runway "35Right/17Left" is on the east side of the airport, is the shortest runway, and very seldom used.

This runway is the only runway that has any impact on Seven Hills or Sun City Anthem.

Runway "35Left/17Right" is the longest and most frequently used for smaller aircraft and larger jets.

This runway has no impact on Seven Hills or Sun City Anthem because the traffic pattern is to the west of the side of the airport.

Those so strongly opposed to business and/or residential construction near the airport need to realize the airport is here to stay, and developers have the right to build on the property around the airport.

If those narrow minded individuals are so concerned about airport safety or noise, then perhaps they should not live there.

Let the developers and those that work and live in the vicinity decide if they feel uncomfortable.
