The Responsibilities of
A Board of Directors
Under Self
Management
The Board of Directors will be
responsible for the following under self
management:
A) SCACAI Goal
Through common sense governance, and reasonable rules, to provide the care and maintenance of our facilities within annual budget guidelines. Additionally to encourage and facilitate our active lifestyle whether you are a new or longtime resident.
B) SCACAI Objectives
Accomplish the day to day management of our association operations through our management team.
With the assistance of standing committees, i.e. Architectural
Review, Covenants,Lifestyle, Property and Grounds and Finance, etc. the Board of
Directors will have a reduced work load.
Complete all maintenance and repairs as scheduled each year, set forth during the budget process.
C) Oversight
Through timely reports from the General Manager, the Board of Directors will monitor the progress of the management team, to meet the annual objectives.
The Board of Directors can monitor the interaction between the General Manager and residents during question and answer periods at monthly board meetings.
This paper goes along with my belief of "keep it simple."
I hope this helps explains my vision for future governance by
our Board of Directors.
