As Sun City Anthem volunteers continue to rack up name after name on the Recall petitions, desperation from "the political machine" has now hit all time panic buttons....and their reactions have gone into overdrive.
Within the past few days, we've witnessed...
... a Sun City Anthem
Treasurer send out a mass email condemning the contents of the Recall petition,
which we believe violated NRS regulations, and to
which he has remained silent as to the valid questions posed
by a Sun City Anthem resident.
... a paid Sun City
Anthem employee send ILLEGAL emails to Clubs (on company time we were paying her
salary...3:26pm on a Thursday afternoon), which clearly violated Sun City
Anthem rules.
...and now within a few
short hours, not one, but SIX articles from Mr.
Barnum calling for an army of "behind the scenes" volunteers to fight "the
evils" of those who support the Recall efforts, one of which is now some kind
of "official group" called "Oscar", with former
Director Carl Weinstein's words of wisdom, leading
the charge in its support.
As to why this army should be organized?
"to
support the sensible, qualified Board candidates they have helped put in office
over the years".
Yeah, that's what he said, but he forgot to add a few things about those "qualified candidates", so let's mention some of their "merits" to enhance his cause:
5 losing restaurants that
included contracting with:
a. the wife of a guy who robbed 8 Las Vegas banks and
served 6 years in the "big house".
b. a guy who had a $150,000 civil judgment against him that
had yet been unpaid to the widow of a man he apparently cheated and was
eventually caught walking out the back door of Anthem Center with Sun City
Anthem property.
c. a guy who never paid his rent or utilities yet was
granted $40,000 in association loans at below prime which eventually defaulted
and YOU AND I HAD TO EAT.
d. a guy whose tattoos created a "fine dining atmosphere"
who now runs a Las Vegas sandwich shop.
Then
there was the "success" of having the IRS attempt to fine Sun City Anthem
$1,500,000 because of the "qualified
candidates" refusal to refund excess dues assessments to unit
owners....only to look at the outcome as a "success" paying "merely" $150,000 in
fines, plus legal and accounting fees, when nothing should have been paid at
all.
Of course, making Darcy Spears HOA Hall of Shame must be included in that list of "qualified candidates" too, with Barnum's wife refusing to open a door or return Ms. Spears phone calls.
And finally, the crowning jewel and epitome of "qualified candidates", the Liberty Center which, because of "qualified experienced leadership", used buckets to solve a rain problem that to date has cost unit owners $2,000,000 and resulted in a substantial lawsuit against a builder with a war chest that makes the Sun City Anthem treasury look like pocket change.
Yes indeed, these deeds need to be praised, according to Mr. Barnum.
...and so, they
apparently will, as this questionable "army" of those who supported those "qualified candidates" will rise up, and raid our
neighborhoods asking you to support these noble
accomplishments.
OK--now, let's get real.
Just who out there really
believes that "within a short 2 hours" of
soliciting those who oppose the removal election, "responses" were "well beyond
anything" what he could have imagined...
...on
a Friday night after 5:00pm ?
So many... that as of
this writing... this "noble calling" has attracted former Board Director, Carl Weinstein...
...to voice support; the guy who finished last, narrowly losing his Board seat to the man of esteem and #1 honoree on the Recall Petition, Rex Weddle...
...who finished 4th out of 5 candidates in the last election,
a mandate so great, that he was chosen to remain the association president by
three of the other Recall "honorees" (Nissen, Waterhouse,
Burch), and our distinguished Treasurer, Forrest
Quinn, the author of the recent eblast sent to all members of the Sun
City Anthem community intending to interfere with the recall
effort.
The key to his statement
is a corrupt system, as well as, the credibility of
a guy fighting for life, while drowning in their own sea of
corruption.
Is this the first time
Barnum has "sold a bill of goods" to his readers?
There are too many to
mention, but perhaps this one might assist his apparent "army" as they cruise
the "hoods" damning the Recall effort.
A few years back he ran
this unsuccessful scam on Sun
City Anthem.
He decided, in his typical character assassinating manner, to eliminate his adversary, Guardianship champion, Rana Goodman.
He would concoct a story about the reasons she not
be reappointed to the Henderson "Senior Citizen's Advisory
Commission", stating the "community was outraged" and a mass petition drive had
been underway to stop her reappointment...
...but what he didn't bank on, was something called "The Freedom of Information Act" which allowed the release
of those who signed that petition showing the magnitude of that "outrage".
For those who weren't here at that time, there were 8-9 signers, all of which were close friends of Mr. Barnum, one of which stated her name was forged by her husband.
The result of that
"outrage"...SCAM ?
Ms. Goodman was
subsequently reappointed to the position.
And finally, we have
saved the best for last.
In order to commence this
"army" to protect those "qualified candidates",
HE WANTS YOUR MONEY as well
!
Oh well, desperate times for those who advocate the continuing of corruption, do desperate things...
...and this latest move,
tops them all !
So...if or when you have one of his "army" stop you or
possibly send you a letter asking if you wish to endorse the "qualified candidates" who were responsible for all of the
above...
...have this article with you and run down the list of their "remarkable" accomplishments as well as the credibility of the individual who has been their spokesperson.

Don't forget to ask

business license...
...two security guards...
...an
association required production company...
...insurance...
...and
...an online ticket fee...

... to obtain the funds they seek.
Hopefully they'll be more
than glad to oblige these requests since those they wish to
retain, had no problem demanding these items from
Clubs.

cash, but we suggest you donate this kind...
It's acceptable currency for...
And if and when you do all the things...
My guess is that for the
first time, you'll see a human being actually sprout a tail and leave your front
door with it dangling between their legs.
Our question to you is simply...
Should this continue?
If not, the decision to
sign the Recall petitions should be a "no brainer".

Berman claims he has all these people who want to "sign" the alternate view being against the recall, but he doesn't have many people commenting in the "comments" section.

If all those friends are not commenting, where are they?
I'd expect that if they are reading the blog, they'd comment on the blog if nothing else but for convenience.
Is he lying?
He's run scams like this before, not just the one against Rana Goodman.
Remember the Woodchips scam in which he blamed that club for a man's suicide...when 2 of their officers, whom he opposed, ran for the Board?
He even attempted to get the widow to seek legal counsel to sue the Club.
...to merely win a Homeowners Association election.
So I see that the 'Fake Newser' has made this statement referring to those dedicated volunteers assisting the Recall effort:
"What you have right now is a bunch of "contact people" who are listed with first names and last-name initials only, as if they are afraid to come out into the sunshine."
Yet where are his?
Obviously barking at a full moon since those masses were so enamored after 5:00pm on a Friday night.
Don't underestimate the opponent. They are trying to change the conversation. A vigorous attempt is being made to make the issue Self-Management. That is not the problem. Self-management can work to everyone's benefit. The issue is the lack of Governance by the Board of Directors and the uncontrolled spending on salaries approved by the Board, as well as the General Manager being empowered to take on responsibilities that belong to the Board. Yet, the Board refuses to accept their duties.
Changing the direction of an argument is a common way to cheat in a debate.
